Protecode on IBM SmartCloud is a hosted solution that enables open source software license management through any web browser with a secure link. With Protecode on IBM SmartCloud, there is no infrastructure to manage. There is no need to update or upgrade software, and scanning can be scaled on demand to fit the dynamic requirements of an organization.

Organizations can scan their code portfolio and automatically create a software Bill of Materials. Users can obtain a list of all open source and other third party projects, files or snippets in their software and interact with a variety of reports.


How it works: 

    • If you have not done so already, create an account with IBM SmartCloud and initiate a Protecode instance
    • Purchase a license (file credits) corresponding to the size of your code portfolio
    • Enter the license information in your Protecode instance
    • View the Quick Start Guide and start scanning your files


    To Purchase a License:

    4. 4. You will be sent your license credentials via email
